How earnings work
Last updated October 2026
You earn in two ways on Dungeonstock — direct sales and the revenue pool. Here's how each one works.

Direct sales
When someone buys your product with cash, you keep a share of what they paid. That's the price before tax and after any coupon, so if you run a 20%-off coupon, your share comes from the discounted price.
The standard share is 70%. Founding creators keep 90% during the founding window and 80% after it ends. A few creators have a custom rate agreed with us separately.
These rates are set in the Creator Agreement, and we can change them with 30 days' written notice.
Products your patrons claim for free through Patreon don't earn anything. See connecting Patreon.
The revenue pool
Subscriptions and Gold Packs aren't tied to any single product, so that money goes into a shared revenue pool. Each month the pool is split among creators by how much Gold buyers spent on their products: the more your products are redeemed with Gold, the bigger your share. You keep your usual rate on that share, plus an extra 1% on the part that comes from Pro subscriptions.
Pool earnings skip the 14-day hold that direct sales have. The pool is usually added to your available balance on the 1st of each month, in time for the payout on the 5th. See getting paid for how the money reaches you.
